About

I bring design, behavioral science, and machine learning together in one practice.

I’m Joana Cerejo, an AI product design advisor with a PhD in human-centred AI from the University of Porto. I’ve been designing digital products since 2010, leading AI-native design since 2016, and teaching since 2013 — most recently distilled into The Anticipatory Design Playbook.

How I work

Research-grounded judgment, strategic leadership, and hands-on execution — a combination that bridges how AI gets built and how people actually use it. It shows up as advisory work, speaking, teaching, a book, and — for teams who want to self-assess first — a small toolkit of scoring tools.

The bridge between AI engineering reality and human-centred design is held best by people who have done both. I’ve spent my career on both sides — and I build that bridge in the work, in the book, and with the teams who reach out.
